Sam Parker
Sam
Parker is an accomplished coach with a background in education and a
specialization in history and English. He attended the University of North
Texas (UNT), where he played as a tight end for the Mean Green football team.
Alongside his studies, Parker began his coaching career at UNT, serving as a
graduate assistant and coaching quarterbacks for three years. He completed his
master's degree in Education Administration.
After his time at UNT, Parker
worked as a teacher and football coach at Pflugerville Hendrickson High School
and Ennis High School. From 2008 to 2010, he held the position of Offensive
Coordinator at John Tyler High School. Later, he served as the Athletic
Coordinator and Head Football Coach at Spring High School for seven years.
Throughout his coaching career, Parker has guided his teams to multiple playoff
seasons.
Currently, Sam Parker is in
his seventh season as the Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at
Tomball Memorial High School. Under his leadership, the Wildcats have achieved
significant success. They have made three consecutive playoff appearances, with
their first appearance resulting in a district championship in 2019.
Additionally, that year they secured their first playoff victory in the
school's history. In 2020, the Wildcats continued their impressive performance
with an 11-1 record, winning the district championship, bi-district
championship, and area championship.
Outside
of his professional life, Coach Parker is married to Dara, and they have a
daughter named Elly.
